Predicting the Crescent Moon of the Month of Shawwal, 1441 A.H.

To the respected believers in North America, Peace be upon you. According to astronomical data, the crescent moon of the month of Shawwal can easily be sighted with the naked eye, during the sunset of Saturday, the twenty-ninth of the month of Ramadan, May 23rd, 2020 in most regions of North America. Accordingly, Sunday, May 24th, 2020 will have a greater possibility of being the first of the month of Shawwal, 1441 A.H. for the entire region of North America. As soon as the first sighting of the crescent moon is verified, the Moon-Sighting Committee of the Council of Shia Muslim Scholars of North America will announce the first of Shawwal.
