Urgent Affairs Committees

Due to the number of members of the Consultative Body, geographic remoteness, time zone difference, and other issues that make it difficult to hold emergency meetings, the task of addressing emergencies is entrusted to a small committee originating from the Consultative Body; among them shall be the Secretary-General or his deputy.
